Harper Houf Peterson Righellis Inc. received an Honor Award for the 2023 ACEC Oregon Engineering Excellence for the SE 129th Avenue Bike Lanes and Sidewalk Improvement Project in the City of Happy Valley, Oregon. MB&G is proud to have managed and led environmental site reviews and regulatory permitting compliance on this project. The project involved construction of approximately 1,450 linear feet of sidewalk on the east side of SE 129th Avenue and widening of the existing pavement through the curves between SE Mountain Gate Road and SE Scott Creek Lane. The east side of the roadway was widened to allow for bike lanes in both directions and to construct a sidewalk. MB&G’s Stuart Myers led wetland delineation and noxious weed surveys along the project corridor and oversaw the preparation of Endangered Species Act compliance documentation that demonstrated the project would not adversely affect water quality conditions downstream in the Clackamas River.
MB&G is proud to support the 2026 John Aho Golf Tournament by donating a pair of MB&G-branded pickleball paddles and balls for the tournament’s silent auction. Hosted by the Northwest Oregon Subsection of the Pacific-Northwest Section AWWA (PNWS-AWWA), the annual tournament raises funds for the John Aho Memorial Scholarship Fund and Water For People, helping support future water professionals while expanding access to safe water and sanitation in communities around the world.
