EMA and ODOT have officially released their Culturally Modified Tree (CMT) training video. This was produced as mitigation for adverse effects to some CMTs during the ODOT Wildfire Recovery Hazard Debris Management project. The video highlights why CMTs should be recorded and protected, while underscoring the importance of early and frequent communication with local Tribes and Tribes with ancestral history in a project area.

MB&G provided forestry, arborist, Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (CESCL), environmental permitting, environmental compliance oversight, and log marketing support as part of the wildfire recovery efforts following the 2020 wildfire season.
Field days often reveal more than what’s on the map. Recently, our foresters wrapped up a timber check cruise on scattered parcels in SW Oregon. Our role was to audit contractor cruise data and revisit plots to identify any potential discrepancies.
