MB&G is excited to announce the opening of MB&G’s new office in Sonora, CA, our second location in the state! The first office, located in Auburn, CA, has served us well since 2004. Over the past few years, we’ve expanded our forestry and environmental services to cover more areas south of Auburn, and the growing demand for our services in the region has made this new office location a natural next step.
From the Sonora office, Jeb Brooks will be leading projects focused on forest restoration, forest health, and fuels reduction. He looks forward to working closely with local clients to address these critical forestry needs and help build healthier, more resilient forests. Jeb will be working closely with Rubie Teffeteller, our newest assistant forester.
We look forward to the opportunity to serve more communities and continue growing in California!
MB&G is working with Mariposa County Department of Public Works to implement the Mariposa Creek Hazardous Fuels Reduction Project. This includes environmental compliance (CEQA), treatment design, and implementation oversight. What you see is a densely overgrown hillside adjacent to the town of Mariposa. It is in a critical zone for reducing vegetative fuels to protect residential areas, transport routes, and critical infrastructure from wildfire. As part of a larger wildfire prevention strategy outlined in Mariposa County’s Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP), the project covers approximately 500 acres of county land and some private lands. Following treatments, the resulting shaded fuel break will complement Mariposa County Fire Safe Council’s Bumguardner Ridge Fuel Break Project.
